Essex Sustainability Conference- March 2025

The sustainability leads attended the ‘Sustainability in Education’ conference, organised by The Science Hub in Essex. They presented Drake as the primary school case study: What does effective sustainability action look like? After sharing staff and pupil voice about climate change, they presented Drake’s Climate Action plan, with its strands: Adaptation and Resilience, Biodiversity, Climate Change Education and Decarbonisation. It was a great networking opportunity and a chance to share Drake’s pupil voice with a wider audience. 

Suffolk Sustainability Conference- April 2025

The Executive Headteacher and Chair of Governors took part in climate action workshops at the Sustainability in Education Conference in Suffolk. Included in the workshops were carbon awareness training, community climate action and creating a united voice for sustainability in schools. As part of the training, our school was selected as a case study to share our Climate Action Plan journey.
